Review:

Several books ago, Molly McAdams earned a spot on my must buy  list. I eagerly anticipated Needing Her, as I wanted more Connor (who we initially met, and some of us fell in love with in From Ashes).  Let me start by saying I did go into this book a tiny bit hesitantly, this is my first Molly McAdams novella and sometimes I find that I don't love novellas by some of my favorite authors  I know how talented they are and I want more story from them than what they can give me in 200 pages. My fears, as usual we totally way off base. Needing Her was AMAZING! I read this book and thought, wait.. that was a novella?

This book is full of vivid details and the trademark Molly McAdams writing style that will have you flipping pages, guessing what's next and it left me with a big smile when I finished the last page. This book was everything I wanted for Connor and more. It is full of prank-tastic humor, love, lust, sexual tension and of course a little angst (come on.. you know it has to have a little of that in there somewhere). I loved Maci, and even loved her overprotective big brothers… well most of the time.

Needing Her does have ties to From Ashes, but can absolutely stand alone and enough back story is given to make a newbie immediately fall into sync with the story and not feel as if they missed anything by starting with this book.

I highly recommend you check out this book (I refuse to call this a novella any longer). It has earned its place as one of my favorite Molly McAdams books!

PS> I PURCHASED Needing Her on release day, because even though I could have probably been granted a copy for review purposes, I love to support the writers that are my favorites and I "NEEDED" to own this book!

Finding My Forever by Heidi McLaughlin

Synopsis:
Everywhere I look, my friends are settling down- marriage, children, white picket fences, but not me. Marriage is not in the cards for me. I'm a ladies man.

A rock star.

I was born and raised in the industry.
I love everything about my life, especially the attention from the women that my status brings me.

Women find me. I don't chase. I know what they want and they know I'll deliver.

But after one look, one touch, one night...

Now I'm the one doing the chasing.

I need to find a way to show her that I'm serious, that I can change.
I need to find a way to show her that I can love her fully, and only her.
I need to find a way to show her that she's my forever.

Review:
I was in love with Heidi McLaughlin's Beaumont Series long before I ever turned the first page of this book. After finishing this book, I am even more in love and found myself doing a quick google search before I even finished the last chapter in hopes of finding a sneak peak of what's next for this series!

Heidi is a gifted writer. the voice she gives to her characters is unlike any other writer I have read recently and I love it! The alternating POV's work marvelously, and I feel like I have a direct link to her characters souls.

Jimmy has a bad boy image, but he isn't really a bad boy. Deep down he like the other members of 4225 West- is a good guy, an honest guy, and when he commits himself to something he does it with every part of his being. He wants a future with Jenna and come hell or high water he is going to do his damnedest to make it happen.

Jenna narrowly escaped her past abusive marriage, so she is leary and Jimmy's relationship proceeds itself. She finds it hard to resist him, but will Jimmy be able convince her he is for real?

I loved this story. I love how the members of the band are a family, and all come together to help each other. It was great visiting with the rest of the gang (Harrison especially- he is my book boyfriend, although I do have a giant crush on Jimmy as well).

I give Finding My Forever - 6 STARS on a 5 Star scale. This series can be read stand alone, but I recommend reading it in order. You will fully appreciate the characters, as well as the authors amazing storytelling.

What are you waiting for, the pre-order for this book is available right now!!!

Questions with Toni Aleo & Giveaway!
Blue Lines on 12/9!

Opposites do more than just attract in Toni Aleo’s latest Nashville Assassins novel about a very bad boy and the good girl he can’t resist.

The instant Piper Allen sees Erik Titov, she wants him—wants his rock-hard body, sure, but the strength and mystery that lies behind that superstar hockey jock demeanor, too. So when he sidles up to her at a bar and slinks his arm around her waist, she’s lost. What follows is the wildest night of her life . . . followed by inevitable heartbreak the next morning. And then, a few weeks later, a very big surprise: two blue lines on a pregnancy test.

Only a check to the head could make Erik fall for a nice girl like Piper. But since their crazy-sexy night together, he’s been trying to forget about her alluring body by falling into bed with every woman in Nashville, and it’s not working. So when Piper shows up at his house with a baby-bomb to drop, it doesn’t take much for Erik to suggest the nuclear option: marriage. While it’s supposed to be all for show, the second they say “I do,” the ice between them starts to melt into sizzling steam.

Includes a special message from the editor, as well as excerpts from these Loveswept titles: Taking Shots, Trying to Score, and Empty Net.

Don't forget -- If you post your review of BLUE LINES between December 9th - December 18th you could win some awesome prizes! Details can be found HERE. The Rafflecopter for this will be shared on Monday, December 9th.

Delilah, Lilah or whatever she is called is, standing over on the far side of the room, her back against the wall wearing a figure-hugging red, floor-length dress. Her dark hair and eyes stand out in contrast. She looks like a Forties movie star, all curves and perfect poise, watching everyone with a critical eye. She hates this place and she hates the people that are here, that is clear to me straight away.
I want to jump off the stage to get to her. I can’t tear my eyes away, even though Dave has picked up my guitar and shoved it back into my hands, hissing, “play, you idiot.”
I am walking to the front of the stage still staring when I notice that I am being watched but not by her.
Some guy who looks like a pretentious arsehole is watching me watch her and then he starts to move across the floor to get to her before I can leave the stage. I am stuck like a rabbit in headlights, rooted to the spot as I watch him clearly move towards her like he is proving he has ownership.
When he gets to her he pulls her in close and winds his hands around her waist. I have to physically restrain myself from leaping off the stage and punching him. That’s what I want to do, a deep urge burning inside me. Jump from the stage, bop him on the nose, hopefully causing significant blood loss, and then throw her over my shoulder and march her off with her someplace. Someplace where I can kiss her and talk to her, in no particular order. Then I may well ask her to marry me because I am pretty sure that I want to.
I don’t though, I don’t move from my spot on the edge of the stage. I start to play my guitar instead but not the song the rest of the band are expecting. Luckily it has a long intro so they are able to catch up.
As I start to sing ‘Wonderwall’ I watch as the banker wanker twirls her onto the dance floor.
It’s not a song for twirling, what is he doing the bloody arse?
She has her hands on his shoulders and her back to me but I can clearly see an enormous diamond ring sitting on her left hand from my spot quite a distance away on stage.
       Damn it to hell.
I nearly stop singing, but I hold it together and as I head into the second verse my choice of song becomes even more appropriate.
The banker wanker pulls her in even tighter and I get a nasty taste in the back of my mouth. I am just in the middle of the chorus when they take a turn and I catch a glimpse of her face.
That’s what does it. That very moment gives me something completely different to live for.
       Her.
She is biting her lower lip and the beautiful eyes are staring far away in the distance, framed by a frown. She looks like she would rather be anywhere then where she is right now. She looks lost, but on top of that she looks lonely and I feel a bubble of something well up inside me, something like joy. Joy at the fact that this guy holding her, who’s obviously bought her the ring, has no idea what she is feeling. I don’t think he has looked at her face once, not to read it the way that I am. This is good. It means that if I can get to talk to her again then I can make sure my words are the right ones, the ones to make her notice me, the ones to make her want to at least talk to me. And, well, if that fails then I will just crinkle my freckles at her, pick her up and throw her over my shoulder and march off with her hoping for the best.
I know that I will do anything to save her from whatever is causing her sadness and by doing that I have a feeling she will save me.
