I enjoyed this book. The story is sweet and typical of a Toni Blake novel the love scenes are very intense. Anna discovers diaries in the attic of the old house that belonged to the previous owner, the love story in those letters and the way Ms. Blake ties it into the main story is beautiful. She also does a great job drawing you into her characters. I was afraid of Duke when Anna first stumbled upon him in the woods, but after she cleans him up, I started to quickly warm up to him and the use of Duke's pet name, "Daisy", for Anna makes him more and more endearing. I love a tortured hero, and Duke definitely has the makings for a great tortured hero.
Other characters from previous books (ie:Mike & Rachel, Lucky & Tessa and Mick & Jenny) in this series are interwoven masterfully and you get a nice glimpse into their current lives along with a few small back stories as well.
