Bare It All- by Lori Foster

If Lori Foster writes it, I buy it. End of story!

I read her latest book BARE IT ALL earlier this week. I made the mistake of starting to read this book at 10 pm on a Sunday night, needless to say I put it down around 4 am and spent my entire day at work on Monday yawning with raccoon eyes. Who needs sleep right? This book was worth losing some sleep over!

Blurb:
A cop's craving to know more about the woman next door could prove fatal in the steamy new novel from New York Time's best selling author Lori Foster.

As the person responsible for taking down a brutal human trafficker, Alice Appleton fears retaliation at every turn. No one knows about her past, which is exactly how she prefers it... until the sexy cop next door comes knocking.

Detective Reese Bareden thinks he knows what makes women tick, but his ever-elusive neighbor keeps him guessing like no other. Is his goal to unmask Alice's secrets? Or protect her from a dangerous new threat? One thing is certain: their chemistry is a time bomb waiting to explode. And with no one to trust but each other, Reese and Alice are soon drawn into a deadly maze of corruption, intrigue and desire- and into the line of fire...

The one thing I love most about a Lori Foster book is her ability to weave a story that will have you on the edge of your seat guessing what is coming next. Her human trafficking story line has worked very well in the past and it continues to work in this book.

Bare it All starts off the morning after the stand-off that ended the previous book, Run the Risk.  Reese and his dog Cash are forced to crash with neighbor, Alice since his apartment is still considered a crime scene. Alice is no damsel in distress, she showed up the night before with a gun and thanks to her assistance the bad guys went down. Reese sees Alice in a new light and realizes there is more to her than meets the eye. Once Alice opens up and begins to also trust Reese the plot thickens as does the air from the steam these two put off. Let's just say Reese has some pretty thorough questioning techniques he uses on Alice!

We revisit with Logan and Pepper from Run the Risk in this book, as they are still an integral part of this story and Rowdy, Pepper's brother becomes even more endearing.. a little too endearing if you ask Reese. He wants Rowdy nowhere near Alice, easier said than done since Alice consider Rowdy a friend and confidant. We also get a visit from Trace (from Trace of Fever- part of the Men that Walk the Edge of Honor series- SWOON- Trace is so one of my book boyfriends forever). There is no cliffhanger here, but this book did end with me eagerly anticipating GETTING ROWDY, the next book in this series that is currently set for release in September.

This is a must read book- I give it a solid 5 Stars! If you haven't read any of the other books in Lori's Men that Walk the Edge or Honor Series or Love Undercover series I highly recommend you check them out, here is a listing of these book in series order. Any of these can be read as stand alone's but I think if you have read them all you will appreciate them more because the characters are interwoven.

Trace of Fever
Savor the Danger
