Excerpt- Alison's POV:

I give myself to the music and the movement of my body, but over and over again, I’m drawn back to him. And every time, his eyes are on me. Every time, he greets me with that same devastating grin that cuts right to my core.

Finally, I can’t take it anymore. I give in and dance his way, running my mink tail through my fingers. I smile at him, feeling light and relaxed and like no one in the world would dare deny me a thing.

“Dance with me,” I say.

“Is that a question?” he asks, folding his arms across his chest. His biceps bulge beneath the flowing black fabric of his shirt, and his eyes, which seem to be a deep, penetrating gray, regard me in amusement.

“No,” I reply, still swaying as the music flows through me to wrap around us both. “Come on.”

He hesitates, and the moment stretches between us. What is he waiting for? Doesn’t he understand how much I need to dance with him right now?

Coming up close to him, I feel the pull of his body, like gravity. I press in closer, then closer still. Smoothing a hand against the silken material of his shirt and the hard contours of his torso, I ask, “Pretty please?”

I step back, and his smile broadens. Finally, he reaches out a hand to me, and I take it.

“Okay, Catwoman,” he says. “Let’s dance."

Review:

Alison is being sent in to work as a "spy" of sorts by her father. Her father is in negotiations to invest in Adam Blackwood's new venture and wants inside info to gain leverage. She decides to get a feel for the company by attending a costume party the night before her first day in the offices undercover. Catwoman soon realizes that the Zorro she had a romantic encounter with is none other than Adam Blackwood. Family first has been drilled into her head, so her growing feelings for Adam may need to take backseat. To make this matter even more complicated- her ex, the ex she cheated on works for Adam's company, alongside his new girlfriend. 

Adam is one smart cookie, he built this company himself, and while he may be seeking outside investors to grow the business, he has no intentions of giving away anything. What will he do when he realizes the woman he is developing feelings for, could be the woman to cause him to lose what he has worked so very hard for?

I wanted to read Rebound from the moment I saw the cover, it is adorable. My only hesitation coming into this story, was I didn't expect to like Alison. Alison is the cheating-ex of Ethan from Boomerang, the first book in this series. I am not a fan of cheaters, but as I got to know Alison, her motivation became clear, and felt empathy toward her and grew to like her pretty quickly. I loved the way her relationship develops with Adam from their first lust at first sight to their growing relationship. This author marries the perfect amount of lust, love, loyalty and  the angst to make this a captivating romance.  I got caught up in this story and loved the plot twists and turns and the heat between Adam and Alison is palpable. I gave Rebound 5 Stars and can't wait for the final installment of the BOOMERANG series BOUNCE, coming in August of 2015!
