Blurb:
Yes, Nicole Phillips has miraculously survived what appear to be three separate death threats from her ex-husband-to-be. But no, she does not need protection. At least that’s what she keeps telling everyone. But when her new housekeeper arrives complete with a sexy build and no-nonsense attitude, she can’t help but feel a little safer. That is until the passion between them heats up and she knows she’s really in trouble.

Jake Carlson never wanted to be immortal, or a vampire in the first place. Turned during an emergency by Vincent Argeneau, he’s been living his new life away from the clan as a bodyguard for hire. That is, until Marguerite Argeneau reappears with a new job opportunity: undercover protection for a family friend…as a housekeeper.

But when he discovers his beautiful new client is tougher than he first thought, Jake Thinks he might be the one in need of protection. Just not the physical kind.
With two weeks until her divorce proceedings are final, Jake must do everything in his power to keep Nicole safe and happy… he just hopes he can keep ahold of his heart in the process.

About the Argeneau Series:
I discovered this series in February of this year.  One of our monthly Avon Addict care packages contained a copy of Immortal Ever After. I had never read this author or series; I scanned the back copy of the book and thought this book sounds awesome, I started reading it and couldn’t put it down. In the span of a few hours Lynsay Sands acquired a new super fan and I found a new series that I HAD to read completely. (Quick link to my full review of Immortal Ever After).

I have read ALL 18 BOOKS since February and am anxiously awaiting the release of One Lucky Vampire the latest book in this series! I couldn’t accept fast enough when I was asked to be a part of the blog tour for the release of One Lucky Vampire.

There are tons of vampire series out there, but this one has so many things that make it unique, Lynsay Sands manages to effectively marry drama, HUMOR, lust and love all into one beautiful package. All of the Argeneau couples have amazing chemistry and the stories are full of depth and lots of humor. These vampires are so humanized, from their sensory awakening (and real food cravings) to their ability to empathize love and drive to protect those around them. Once each hero finds his life mate nothing will come between them, NOTHING!

This series can be read out of order or in order, and you still understand what is going on and it doesn’t take away from anything. I will however state that after reading all the books in order with the exception of Immortal Ever After, reading them in order will make some of the other books in the series feel like a family reunion, as you get to revisit the other characters.

My Favorite Argeneau Couple:
I was asked who my favorite Argeneau couple was and it was such a hard decision to make! I love them all, but I think my favorite couple has to be the first couple that made me fall in love with the series. Anders rescues Valerie and who doesn’t love a hero? Their chemistry makes your toes curl and I still laugh out loud when I think about Anders real name (you have to read this book to get that joke and I refuse to spoil it for anyone).  Although, I may change my mind about my favorite Argeneau couple once I get to read One Lucky Vampire…the back-story sounds awesome!

One Lucky Vampire will be released on September 24th and if you haven’t pre-ordered it already what are you waiting for?

  6. Happy (belated) Anniversary!

It's funny how your favorite book is the first one you read! I'm the same way. I love Under a Vampire Moon, the first Argeneau novel I fell in love with! It's just so amusing. :) Bastien also has a special place in my heart.
